HOSPICE
EAST RAND
HISTORICAL SCRAPBOOK

Take a look at the Hospice East Rand's Historical Scrapbook to see what has been achieved since its inception in 1986. These achievements are directly attributable to the support and generosity of the public.

Hospice funding is an ongoing concern as no government grants or funding is received. Every hospice is autonomous in terms of fundraising.

Charity shops: In order to ensure long-term sustainability, we have nine established charity shops and a bookshop in the Ekurhuleni area. These shops bring in a substantial contribution to our annual budget requirements.

Donation of goods for resale is an invaluable way of helping the hospice to maintain its high standard of care. These shops form the backbone of the continuous income required.

Any good quality items are gratefully accepted.
Pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, linen, curtains, mens, ladies and childrens clothing, furniture, electrical items (in working order), ornaments, bric-a-brac and what have you.
Books, DVDs and CDs for the bookshop.

Goods can be delivered to the nearest shop. If this is not possible please contact hospice on 011 422 1531 to arrange collection.

Shop volunteers: We are always in need of volunteers to assist the shop managers. If you can spare about four hours once a week to help us it would be very much appreciated. Kindly contact Joan Bolton, our Volunteer Coordinator, on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning on 011 422 1531.
