DO YOU KNOW?
Hospice East Rand currently
has over 200 volunteers.

Volunteers are an integral part of the Hospice and an invaluable support to our staff. There are many ways you can be of assistance and any help offered is greatly appreciated.

Caregivers: Our caregiver service is a vital part of patient care. They become involed in offering patients and their families much needed emotional support. The Caregivers course is a prerequisite for all volunteers wishing to become involved in patient care.
Phyllis Murray, our Caregiver Co-ordinator is available for further information. Please call our offices on 011 422 1531.

Charity Shop:Our nine charity shops are the backbone of our fundraising efforts and supply regular income towards daily running costs. We are always in need of volunteers to assist the shop manager. If you can spare us four hours of your day, once a week, it would be much appreciated.
Book Shop:Volunteers assist our book shop manager.
Administrative:Duties such as switchboard relief, driving, counting coins etc. are tasks where volunteers can be of great assistance.
Events: Volunteers assist at fetes and other fundraising events.

If you wish to become a volunteer for any of the above or feel you have a skill that might be of assistance to us on a voluntary basis kindly contact Joan Bolton, our Volunteer Co-ordinator, on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning on 011 422 1531 for more information.
