How Vosloorus started:Our drop in day care commenced in March 2006 using the UCCSA church hall in Vosloorus. 44 patients attended the first morning.

Permanent premises: In September 2006, Hospice East Rand purchased a house in Tshiruruvhela Street. Thanks to the generosity of ZF Sachs SA, renovations to the house commenced in October 2006 and the centre opened its doors to patients on 15th June 2007.

Day Care:The Day Care Centre is open twice a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, a service that will be extended as funds allow. Patients enjoy various activities and a nourishing meal.

Home Care: It also serves as a base for clinical meetings of nurses, care workers and social workers, who currently between them, provide home care and day care services for over 300 patients in the area.
